LUSO Federal Credit Union has been made aware of a potential fraud scam targeting financial institution members. Individuals may receive phone calls, text messages, emails, or social media messages falsely claiming that LUSO Federal Credit Union is stealing money from member accounts or that there is a problem with their account.
These communications are NOT from LUSO Federal Credit Union.
If you receive a suspicious call, text, email, or message:
❌ DO NOT:
Provide your account number, debit card number, PIN, online banking credentials, or passwords.
Share one-time verification codes sent to your phone or email.
Click on any links or download attachments from unsolicited messages.
Send money or transfer funds at the request of someone claiming to represent LUSO.
✅ DO:
Hang up immediately if you receive a suspicious phone call.
Do not reply to suspicious text messages or emails.
Contact LUSO Federal Credit Union directly using the phone number on our official website, your statement, or the back of your debit card to verify whether the communication is legitimate.
Report any suspicious activity to us immediately.
Remember: LUSO Federal Credit Union will never contact you and ask for your online banking password, PIN, or security verification codes.
